"Please tell our partners, the people of The Episcopal Church, the people of the United States and indeed the people of the world that we in Haiti are immensely grateful for their prayers, their support and their generosity. This is a desperate time in Haiti; we have lost so much. But we still have the most important asset, the people of God, and we are working continuously to take care of them."

...even as surrounding areas see the migration of people out of Port au Prince and into Les Cayes. Thankfully, MN is still safe and so is our staff. But many of our staff are suffering from the aftermath of this tragedy: they have lost loved ones, have learned of injuries to their loves ones, or simply have no news of their loved ones. Despite these worries, and despite the challenges of money being low and prices being high, our staff come to work every day. They remain dedicated as healthcare providers to continue to serve the mothers and babies of their community.

MN is reaching out to HIC, the hospital in nearby Les Cayes, to offer support with supplies and staff. MN is also collaborating with other organizations in our area to help coordinate relief efforts and make plans for the difficult challenge of obtaining supplies and medications in the future.
